When the final whistle blew yesterday, I laughed. No it wasnīt funny, I just couldnīt believe the result. Yesterday should have been an opportunity for most of us to up our goal stats and on occasions I felt we played some nice football and actually created the chances to do so. However, the real fault for our lack of goals was the pace at which we played the game. It was simply too slow with the exception of the last five minutes when we finally went in search of the winner. Of course now you can argue that we didnīt score in that five minutes of fierce pressure and our two goals came early in the first half when we were on the go slow but this slow pace kept them in it. Like all the big boys in all sports, they play at a higher tempo, which teams can cope with to a centain point but eventually they crumble, make mistakes and then find themselves dead and buried.
